An overview of Nantwich

To many people, Nantwich seems to be just a small market town in Cheshire that travellers might pass on a trip across country towards Wales, or perhaps it’s just the name of a place on a signpost on the M6 motorway.  But to those in the know, Nantwich is thriving small community with a long and distinguished history dating back to Roman times.

Nantwich has gone through many reincarnations over the years. Some have been gradual and some have been forced upon it by unforeseen circumstances.  At the start of the 21st century the Crewe and Nantwich borough was recognised as one of the fastest growing in the country and many people have chosen to make Nantwich their new home.  With its rich heritage and wonderful historic town centre, many people like us have been drawn to live in Nantwich.

Why listen to us about Nantwich?

As new residents to the area more than 10 years ago, and arriving with very few friends in the area, we found it difficult to find the best services, like which doctors surgery or dentist to register with. And when it came to getting our car serviced or our hair cut, it was a bit hit-and-miss.  We are now fairly comfortable in our choice of the many of the services we use regularly, but we recognise that there are many people out there who are in the same position we were all that time ago. That is why we have created this website – a website of local businesses recommended by local people.

But as we said above, Nantwich is changing, and some of the services we used 5 or more years ago are not around. So we often have to ask friends if they know of a different pub that serves good food for special occasions or, when lots of relatives visit for that big wedding celebration, which hotels do they recommend.
